Julian’s Hills are Alive With the Sound of Music
By Charlene Pulsonetti
Music will soon echo through the mountains, as students and professional musicians take the stage at the eighth annual Julian Family Fiddle Camp, from April 10 to 14, at Camp Cedar Glen, 743 Farmer Rd.
Fiddle Camp founder Avery Ellisman shares that top-notch instructors and students will perform a mix of bluegrass, acoustic, soul, swing and more.
Headlining the concerts will be The Page Turners at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 12, and the husband-and-wife duo Dean! at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 13.
Each concert, Ellisman says, “Is a component for our annual scholarship for the camp.”
Two ticket options are available: general admission for the performance only, and a VIP ticket that includes a pre-show dinner and preferred seating.
On April 14 at 2 p.m., the Fiddle Camp will host a Flash Jam at Julian Town Hall, 2129 Main St., where the public is invited to bring acoustic instruments and join along for a jam session.
