The 53rd Annual Borrego Days Desert Festival promises to mesmerize crowds this year with its new air parade event. Thirty vintage and military aircraft will streak above Palm Canyon Drive during a 30-minute show at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20. The traditional street parade will follow at 10:30 a.m.
Showcased in the parade are more than 100 participants, including marching bands, equestrian groups and elaborate floats, to name a few. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Oct. 20 and 21, visitors are invited to enjoy free music, local community performances, more than 75 vendors and numerous activities for all ages. Carnival rides and games will also be available, with ride wristbands starting at $25 per day.

The festival is based at Christmas Circle Community Park at 600 Christmas Circle Dr., Borrego Springs, with the town’s shops and restaurants easily accessible from the festival grounds.
