Enjoy a Rural Dining Adventure at Taste of Julian

While apples will always be revered in Julian, there is much more to celebrate — and Taste of Julian is designed to do just that, by introducing folks to the deliciously diverse culinary delights that are waiting to be discovered.

The 10th annual event is set for May 12, from 1 pm to 5 pm, and will make Julian a destination for exceptional food and beverage tastings, which will include appetizers, entrees and desserts, along with wines, brews and beverages provided by some of the area’s finest establishments.

A self-guided culinary tour, Taste of Julian allows participants to learn more about the town’s rich history, browse its charming shops and enjoy its old-fashioned ambiance while sampling gourmet treats all along the way. And, of course, there will be no shortage of Julian’s famous apple pie.

Proceeds from the Taste of Julian, which is sponsored by Julian Chamber of Commerce, benefit the protection and enhancement of Julian’s historic district.

Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 on the day of the event. Visit visitjulian.com or call the Chamber at 760-765-1857.

“A ticket to Taste of Julian is like a passport to sample menu specialties from Julian’s most popular eateries,” says Tracy Turner, of the Julian Chamber of Commerce.

“Although you’ll be able to sample our famous apple pie, you’ll see that there’s a lot more in Julian to whet your appetite.”
