The Legendary Ranch Resort Thrives in East County
Warner Springs Ranch Resort — founded as a working ranch in the mid-1800s and opened as a resort in the 1920s — is being recreated.
Since acquiring the historic property in spring 2013, Warner Springs Ranch Resort, LLC has been working hard to rejuvenate this beloved East County treasure by refurbishing and reopening it in phases.
Currently, guests can enjoy overnight accommodations in its historic cottages; a beautiful 144-acre championship golf course; dining at the resort’s Golf Grill; miles of scenic biking and hiking trails; guided horseback trail rides; the convenient gas mart; a combination art gallery, visitor center and gift shop; sky sailing; winery tours; and more.
The 22 newly renovated cottages add to the ranch’s Old West essence. Surrounded by tall oaks, sandstone and granite formations, vast meadows, rugged hills and streams, the cottages highlight the heritage and simplicity of days gone by, and offer a comfortable escape away from city life. Restored to reflect the rich, rustic past of this renowned resort, each cottage includes one queen bed or two double beds, a private bathroom and high-speed wireless Internet access.
When completed, Warner Springs Ranch Resort will feature a 27,000-square-foot main lodge, 250 casita units, the championship golf course and clubhouse, tennis courts, restaurants,
a spa, campgrounds, two swimming pools — currently being renovated, a private airport and 10,000-square-foot meeting facilities.
Whether you’re interested in a round of golf, an overnight escape from city life, horseback riding, scenic walks and adventures in the hills, or a quiet dinner and romantic evening on the veranda, Warner Springs Ranch Resort has it all.
